Stevie's Sweet Burgers

By Rachelle B. and Sharla H. from St. Dominic Catholic School, Garden City, Kansas.

This is a new twist on an old favorite. We've taken the traditional lean ground beef burger and packed in some punch with some unlikely players like shredded sweet potato and black beans. When you add in a few other ingredients like red and green peppers and one lone jalapeno, the spices are right forĀ a main dish nothing short of spectacular! One student told us, "You should call this burger "Kaboom" because that's what my taste buds are saying!
