Turkey Ranch Filling

By Sheila M., Sheila M., Sheila M. and Sheila M. from New Vision High School, Post Falls High school.

Description

One of our new school lunch items this year is the Turkey Ranch. It is a very popular with our High School students. This is a healthy, but very delicious choice for our children.  The freshness of the Romaine lettuce, spinach leafs, and carrots give this wrap the right amount of crunch. Slices of turkey and cheese that are topped off with the zing of ranch dressing makes every bite tastes just right. To complete this goodness we wrap it all up in a Garlic herb tortilla wrap but it can be put into sub rolls, pita bread or any 10 tortilla shell. It is time to experience the Turkey Ranch Wrap! Enjoy

Can be used in your choice of breads wraps and tortilla. Our school district uses a one week schedule to make sure we hit all our nutritional requirements, so this detirmines how we can serve this item in a given week.

If using a tortilla, wrap like a burrito , making sure to tuck the ends in as you go. this will make the wrap tight and keep the ingredients from falling out.

Our students love this on a Garlic Herb wrap. We also put this item in a grab and go line so it is served with fruit and a treat.
