Annie's Pasta Surprise

Yummy: whole grain noodles, carrots, onions, bell peppers, and sour cream!  To make it even more delicious, add just a sprinkling of garlic powder and mmmm... Not only is this dish delicious, but its healthy being low in fat and sodium yet high in fiber, and Vitamins A and C.

So try a bite of "Annie's Pasta Surprise" and let your taste buds be surprised by this wonderfully delicious dish!

Ingredient 6 servings 50 servings
whole grain noodles1 lb10 lbs
roast beef, split top, thinly sliced1/2 lb5 lbs
low fat sour cream1/8 c10 c
garlic powder1/8 tsp1T+1tsp
water cress1/4 c5 c
carrots, julienne1/4 c6 c
mozzerella cheese1/8 c1.25 c
onions, chopped1/8 c1.25 c
bell peppers, chopped1/8 c1.25 c
margarine2 T3/4 c


Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees. Boil noodles until tender. Drain well. Melt margarine in pan. Then add carrots, onions, and peppers until tender. Add beef and seasonings to veggie mixture and heat beef thoroughly. Add water cress, sour cream, and noodles to beef and veggie mixture. Cover. Place in oven and bring slowly up to temp (20-30 minutes). Stir occasionally. Add cheese when pulled from oven and before placing in warmer. Serve with garlic bread sticks.
