Southwest Beef and Black Bean Burger

A mixture of Beef and Black Beans, seasoned with flavors of the Southwest. Served on a warm Whole Wheat Bun and topped with Mozzarella Cheese and sauteed Red, Green and Yellow Sweet Peppers. Condiments include your choice of toppings including: Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Jalapeno, Chipotle Mayonnaise and Salsa.

|53% WG Hamb Buns, 4" Sara Lee||Each/6||each/50|
|Chipotle Mayonnaise-Red Calorie||TBSP/6||TBSP/50|
|Tri Color Bell Pepper Blend, fresh||Oz/6||Lb/3.125|
|Iceberg Lettuce, shredded||Cup/3/4||Qts/1 1/2|
|Red Ripe Tomato, 1/4" thick slice||slices/12||slices/100|
1)Measure out 1/8th of the onion slices, mince and set aside. Reserve the remaining amount for topping/condiment.
2)Measure out 1/8th of the Jalapeno Peppers, mince and set aside.Reserve the remaining amount for topping/condiment.
3)Thouroughly mix together the Ground Beef, Black Beans, the 1/8th of Onion and Jalapeno, Cilantro, Chili Powder, Garlic Powder and Black Pepper.
4)Portion into 3 ounce patties, place on sheet pan and bake at 300 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
5)Remove and top with 1/4 ounce Mozzarella cheese, continue baking until cheese is melted.
6)Separately, saute Three Pepper Blend strips until firm tender and hold warm for service.
Serve each sandwich as follows:
1 53% Whole Grain Hamburger Bun, 1 Burger Patty, 1/4 oz Mozzarella Cheese, Pepper Blend.
Toppings provided for self service: Shredded Lettuce, Sliced Tomato, Sliced Onion, Sliced Jalapeno, Salsa and Chipotle Mayonnaise.
